Toyotas neue Batteriefabrik in North Carolina soll im ersten Quartal des n\u00e4chsten Jahres die Produktion aufnehmen und sich auf die Herstellung von Elektrofahrzeugen (EV) Power-Batterien<\/a>. Das Werk, in das Toyota $13,9 Mrd. investiert, wird Batteriepacks f\u00fcr verschiedene Arten von Elektrofahrzeugen herstellen, darunter Hybrid-Elektrofahrzeuge (HEV), Plug-in-Hybrid-Elektrofahrzeuge (PHEV) und Batterie-Elektrofahrzeuge (BEV).<\/p>\n

Sean Suggs, Pr\u00e4sident von Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina, best\u00e4tigte, dass die produzierten Batterien zun\u00e4chst das Toyota-Werk Georgetown in Kentucky beliefern werden. Dieses Werk hat vor kurzem den Camry der neunten Generation auf den Markt gebracht, der mit dem Toyota-Hybridsystem der f\u00fcnften Generation f\u00fcr das Modelljahr 2025 ausgestattet ist.<\/p>\n

Die Fabrik in North Carolina wird voraussichtlich eine Produktionskapazit\u00e4t von 30 GWh pro Jahr erreichen, die sich auf 14 Produktionslinien in sieben Geb\u00e4uden verteilt. Zus\u00e4tzlich zu diesem Werk hat Toyota weitere $1,3 Milliarden in sein Werk in Georgetown investiert, um die Produktion eines neuen dreireihigen batterieelektrischen Gel\u00e4ndewagens f\u00fcr den US-Markt zu unterst\u00fctzen.
