Esta innovadora bater\u00eda utiliza Nasicon, un conductor superi\u00f3nico de Na y electrolito s\u00f3lido, para resolver los problemas de eficiencia que suelen darse en las bater\u00edas de metal-aire, como la formaci\u00f3n de subproductos carbonatados. Esto se consigue protegiendo los electrodos met\u00e1licos de sodio de la exposici\u00f3n al aire y permitiendo la descomposici\u00f3n de los carbonatos durante las reacciones electroqu\u00edmicas, aumentando as\u00ed la tensi\u00f3n de trabajo y reduciendo la brecha de tensi\u00f3n durante los ciclos de carga y descarga. La c\u00e9lula de sodio-aire de estado s\u00f3lido tambi\u00e9n presenta una alta capacidad cin\u00e9tica debido a un catolito formado in situ que facilita la r\u00e1pida conducci\u00f3n de iones de sodio dentro del electrodo.<\/p>\n<p>Este avance supone un gran paso adelante para la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de bater\u00edas de metal-aire, ya que ofrece una plataforma estable basada en electrolitos s\u00f3lidos que funciona eficazmente en condiciones ambientales.
