Cette batterie innovante utilise le Nasicon, un conducteur superionique Na et un \u00e9lectrolyte solide, pour r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes d'efficacit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement rencontr\u00e9s dans les batteries m\u00e9tal-air, tels que la formation de sous-produits carbonat\u00e9s. Pour ce faire, les \u00e9lectrodes m\u00e9talliques de sodium sont prot\u00e9g\u00e9es de l'exposition \u00e0 l'air et les carbonates sont d\u00e9compos\u00e9s au cours des r\u00e9actions \u00e9lectrochimiques, ce qui permet d'augmenter la tension de fonctionnement et de r\u00e9duire l'\u00e9cart de tension au cours des cycles de charge et de d\u00e9charge. La cellule sodium-air \u00e0 l'\u00e9tat solide pr\u00e9sente \u00e9galement une capacit\u00e9 cin\u00e9tique \u00e9lev\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un catholyte form\u00e9 in situ qui facilite la conduction rapide des ions sodium \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur de l'\u00e9lectrode.<\/p>\n<p>Ce d\u00e9veloppement constitue une avanc\u00e9e significative pour les batteries m\u00e9tal-air de la prochaine g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, car il offre une plateforme stable \u00e0 base d'\u00e9lectrolyte solide qui fonctionne efficacement dans des conditions ambiantes.
