CATL(Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited)


CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) was established in 2011, headquartered in Fujian Province, China, and is one of the world’s largest electric vehicle battery manufacturers.

CATL mainly produces lithium batteries, power battery systems, and energy storage systems. Its products span across the fields of new energy vehicles, the power grid, communication base stations, industrial and commercial sectors, as well as home energy storage.

In July 2021, CATL introduced its first generation of sodium-ion batteries.



HiNa Battery Technology Co., Ltd.


Hina Battery was established in 2017, headquartered in Jiangsu Province, China. It is a high-tech enterprise focused on the research and production of sodium-ion batteries.

Hina Battery is dedicated to developing low-cost, long-life, high-safety, high-energy density sodium-ion battery products. They have obtained multiple core patents related to sodium-ion batteries and launched their first sodium-ion battery in 2017. Their products are applied in low-speed electric vehicles, home energy storage, industrial energy storage, electric vehicles, national security, and other fields.

In December 2022, Hina Battery entered into a partnership with the Chinese government and officially started the global first large-scale production line for sodium-ion batteries.



Faradion Limited


Faradion was founded in 2011, headquartered in Sheffield, United Kingdom. It is a technology company that focuses on researching low-cost, high-performance sodium-ion batteries. Their sodium-ion battery products are primarily used in high-power fields such as grid energy storage and electric vehicles.

Faradion, in collaboration with other companies, launched an electric bicycle battery demonstrator labeled as “the world’s first sodium-ion battery-powered vehicle.”

Altris was established in 2017, headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden. Altris primarily manufactures rechargeable sodium-ion batteries used in stationary energy storage. Through continuous research and development, Altris’ sodium-ion batteries have shown superior performance in terms of lifespan, discharge power, operating temperature, and safety features.




Amte was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in the UK. Amte’s sodium-ion batteries, designed for electric vehicles and stationary energy storage, offer high efficiency and long cycle life. Additionally, they are expanding their production capacity to meet the rapidly growing energy demands worldwide.

Natron was founded in 2012 and is headquartered in California, USA.

Natron has been breaking through traditional battery technology, introducing sodium-ion batteries with better safety performance, higher capacity, longer cycle life, faster charging speed, and lower costs.

In 2020, Natron launched the world’s first sodium-ion battery to receive UL 1973 certification.

In 2022, Natron increased its manufacturing capacity by 200 times.

Applications: data centers, industrial mobility, fast charging for electric vehicles, telecommunications, and uninterruptible power supplies.
